Futures End on Earth 2

DC has revealed some of the end of the Future. Or Futures. Or whatever.

Here:

EARTH 2: FUTURES END #1
Writer: Daniel H. Wilson
Penciller: Eddy Barrows
Inker: Eber Ferreira
Cover: Giuseppe Camuncoli

I'll try to formulate some comments on this beyond my "So cool!" initial thoughts.

For now, just bask in the glory of Red Tornado and wonder why James Robinson is NOT writing this. You can also check out the additional solicitations on CBR.

Justice League of Bloggers - Steve Garcia Crossover

Playing along with the Justice League of Bloggers Steve Garcia Art Crossover event (much cheaper than the Forever Evil event and slightly more interesting), here's the Red Tornado piece.

Noble, indeed, Red Tornado's silhouette is taken from the Michael Turner-drawn cover of Justice League of America #3 during the Brad Meltzer Ed Benes run. The inner silhouette escapes me, but the combination of the two, with the red to black gradient makes for a nice image. For more of Steve Garcia's stuff, check out the brossover happening all over the internet today.

Here's some links to his stuff on the this here internet:

Oh! Speaking of the crossover, check out my comrades in blogging and their pieces on Garcia's work:

Then there are some previously posted pieces of Mr. Garcia's featuring the following:

Check them all out. Come back and let me know what you think. Or maybe sound off on the other blogs after clicking through. Enjoy!

Unofficially Official

Since I haven't pulled my stuff together enough yet to get this done, here's a link to The Captain's Unofficial Justice League Homepage. It's a fabulously informative site, filled with all sorts of goodness, but as you can see on the link, the key - for me at this moment - is the Atlas of the Multiverse, specifically Earth-16, the home of the Young Justice cartoon and comic characters.

DeviantArt-ed!

One of my favorite blogs on these here internets is that of Dan Woodward, over on It's a Dan's World. Every week or so, Dan drops an awesome bomb on his readers, and this week the feature included a picture of Red Tornado. As a matter of fact it was THIS picture of Red Tornado. Check it out:
Dan had this to say of the piece:
Really showing off why Red Tornado is a force of nature, I love how imposing the android looks without the 'from the waist down tornado' thing going on. Generating his own, from inside the heart of one!
I gotta agree with Dan. Reddy loses a little toughness when he's twirling sometimes, and this image plays up that toughness as Reddy closes in on your noggin.

The art is by Eddie Nunez. You can check out  Eddie's stuff over on DeviantArt.

Tattoo You!

So my guardian angel in bloggery, Shag, was kind enough to share some nice scans of the Red Tornado-centric tattoos with me that I am now sharing with you.

This cartoon was so awesome in the love that it shared across the DC Universe, especially for the "underappreciated" like Red Tornado, Blue Beetle, Aquaman, Ryan Choi Atom, Plastic Man, and B'wana Beast.

Of course Reddy's sticking around on the Cartoon Network in that Young Justice cartoon, which reminds me. I need to get back to posting on that. . .

Over at Action Figure Insider, there's an interesting piece on the new Batman: Brave and the Bold Total Armor line featuring Red Tornado. More specifically, the piece is all about Red Tornado, and some good points are made therein.
Check it out why don't you.
